MembershipWe are proud of the quality of our membership family at The Union Club; a small number of discerning, senior arts and media executives and creatives who have gravitated to the Union slowly, over a period of ten years. As we always say here at the club; ‘It’s the hardest wood that takes the longest to grow’ and this reflects our policy to membership. There has never been active marketing or selling of the Union; a product of fine quality and high intellectual prestige. We prefer our recruits to come to us gradually, perhaps after visiting several times with an established member. Growth is gentle, organic, reflecting all of our core values and our low, low profile. Our members enjoy the intimacy and familiarity experienced at The Union, where staff and management tend to stay for years. We consistently fail to follow fashion, treasure our discretion, shun celebrity and generally view life through rose tinted spectacles. Our style is serious, but always tongue in cheek. We know you well and look after you; we will engage with you, charm you, perhaps be a bit cheeky and generally keep you in line. We are old fashioned but leading edge.
