As we hope you are aware, the Union Club has a fierce and dedicated Backgammon Club, who recently rounded off the year with an incredibly close match which saw Club member Tony Steward capture a point for us in the final game to rack up a 9-9 draw against Mr Bray’s Roehampton Club – the first ever point we have taken off them!
So the Union backgammon team are top of the league!
The team – captained by Tim Cookson – are unbeaten in the league of private members clubs so far this season and are always looking for hot new players. We have regular club nights and tutorial nights when new members are welcome to come along so do let us know if you’re interested and we’ll let you know the dates of the next club night in the New Year!
