About the event

Out of The Flood

“There is a tide in the affairs of men

Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;

Omitted, all the voyage of their life

Is bound in shallows and in miseries.

On such a full sea are we now afloat;

And we must take the current when it serves,

Or lose our ventures.”

 William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

We are excited to announce a new exhibition by Flora Parrott, Sarah Longworth-West, Jo Chate and Tamsin Morse.   These four artists’ paintings, collages, and works on paper, showcase how years of experimentation, successes and failures in the studio can lead to a mature and unique mastery of process, style, and technique.  The exhibition is titled 'Out of The Flood' from William Shakespeares' analogy of emerging from years of struggle, uncertainty, and experimentation with a stronger, more confident voice.

Curated by Gilly Fox (Associate Curator, Hayward Gallery Touring) in partnership with TondoCosmic (an art-collective, supporting artists with an accomplished track record who are not represented by a commercial gallery).

Please join us for at Private View on Monday 28 September, 6.00 - 8.30pm
