About the event
Join us at the Member Get Together to schmooze and carouse with Union friends and members. The Back Bar will be open in bar form from 5pm and we encourage you to come along and strike up conversation with someone new.
Drinks are on us from 5 until 6pm, so close the laptop and come down from the Studio or hurry on over to Greek Street to get the evening started.
Union Club members Kavita Singh and Phil Swain will be on entertainment duties later in the evening to serenade us with a mix of standards, jazz and R&B, setting the mood while you mix and mingle.
You'll then be free to grab a dinner downstairs, head out to the theatre or a gig, or hole up at the bar all evening and see who you meet.
If you're new, this is a lovely way to get to know some familiar Club faces. And if you've been around as long as the furniture, then you've got plenty of stories to tell! You're also welcome to bring a guest, so if you have a friend considering Union Club membership, now might be a great time to introduce them. Whatever the reason, we'd love to see you there.
Kavita
Canadian, London based Singer / Songwriter Kavita’s trademark emotive vocals have been gracing the scene for over two decades, having worked with the likes of Nitin Sawhney, Apache Indian and T-Roy to name a few. Her most popular collaborations are with Daz-I-Kue and Bettina Costanzo, who released several singles and albums on Flipside Records from the late 90’s to the mid 2000’s. More recently, Kavita has released singles with Daz-I-Kue on his I-Kue label.
Kavita’s talent has been championed by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Fred Everything, and Tony Humphries and many more.
