About the event
It's summer and high time for another Off Piste wine lunch.
Regulars: you know the drill. A long lunch, accompanied by what some may call 'too much' wine, sometimes loosely on a theme, more often meandering around the cellars of the Club and some of our wine pals.
Newcomers: the Off Piste wine lunch is a friendly nemesis to the more formal 'Left Bank Bordeaux' or 'A Road Trip through Italy' wine dinners (that we do know and love.) Instead of sticking to a hard and fast theme, we invite an opinionated host - this time, it will be Michael Robins of Jeroboams, who supplies most of the wine to the Club - and both they and we scrabble around to find what we have that is interesting or good to show off to our members.
You'll probably fall in love with at least one wine that is no longer available anywhere on earth, try something you actually really hate, and Michael will probably shout about something wine-related. When it's all over you'll either roll down the road to the Coach and Horses, or straight home to be bed. It's going to be fun!
