Welcome to The Union Club...
In the centre of Soho, deep in the heart of London’s media and theatre land, the Union occupies a 270 year old, listed Georgian town house of exceptional character and charm. Widely loved among the senior media folk of the area as a unique and exquisite institution; the Union is a true oasis.
Art at the Union: Chris Gollon
An exhibition of work by established British artist and Union member Chris Gollon is now showing throughout the club. This exhibition features some of Chris Gollon’s latest works on paper, including ‘The Working Men’s Cafe’, ‘She’s Not Interested Any More’, ‘All Mixed Up' and many more.
About the Union Club
A lively and businesslike atmosphere is created by carefully selected members, and of course, our ever so charming staff, who always know who you are, and often, your guests too. Relaxed, peaceful and very welcoming. Everyone feels at home at the Union.
The club provides a cool setting for informal business lunches or a jolly evening with friends by the fireside. The décor is rich and cosy, blending antique and modern with style and wit to achieve an effect which is both bohemian and contemporary.
Dining at The Union
Our dining room is light, elegant and airy; some say one of the most beautiful rooms in London. Wood panelling, crystal chandeliers, open fires and an eclectic art collection combine to create an ambience that is a true escape from today’s frosty minimalism. The Union is organic, friendly and ever so slightly off the wall. As Gene Kelly once said to Judy Garland – ‘Let’s just put the show on right here in the barn!’ – that’s the Union style.
Our cooking is a keystone of our success; our chefs baking their own bread twice a day and running a busy, robust kitchen, much in the style of a English country house. It’s not unusual for members to call the kitchen direct, to request favourite dishes, plan a dinner party or just pinch a recipe.
We are now serving brunch in the club from 10am -11.30am.
Christmas 2013 at The Union
Christmas bookings are available from 2 - 60 persons and for all tables over 10 as our set menu. More details to follow!
Similarly, managers are pleased to advise on functions & events, weddings, meetings, launches, shoots, interviews, castings, screenings, promotions and just plain old ‘knees ups’. Or perhaps it’s just a cup of tea and a bit of TLC you require. Either way, the Union is open night and day for your escape from it all.
Our members are most enamoured of our services. ‘Perhaps you will be too’
Monday – Friday
Christmas Opening Dates
We are open until Friday 20th December for dinner and then re-open 6th January 2014.
Regretfully the whole club will be closed Thursday 12 and Friday 13 December for a member's private event. Sorry for any inconvenience!
